bio: Don works in operations with the Scotiabank Group. He has been a member of Queens Park Toastmasters since February 2009. Don recently served as V.P. Education and previously as Club Secretary.
Griffiths D'Souza - Vice-President, Education
bio: A member of toastmaster for the past 9 months, Griffith came aboard to improve his communication skills. A person with a strong passion for learning and leadership, he quickly got involved with leadership roles within the club. He was recently elected as VP Education for the club for 2011- 2012 with a goal to help the club grow and achieve its goals for the year. He currently works at Ryerson University as an Employment Services Assistant outreaching to companies looking to recruit young talent. He is also a Partner with RKG Realty Solutions Inc., a boutique Real Estate Investment Firm bringing investors and investment products secured by Canadian Real Estate together to create higher than bank returns. In his spare time he plays various sports and is involved from time to time with Habitat for Humanity. “Toastmasters is a great place for you to learn and apply new strategies both inside and outside the club. Rosemary Smith - Sergeant-at-arms
bio: Rosemary has been a member at Queens Park Toastmasters since 2010. Rosemary started her career in fashion as a graduate of fashion design at George Brown College. She has worked in fashion retail sales and operations management for over 25 years. The supportive environment at Toastmasters has given her the opportunity to be more at ease with public speaking in her career and life.
Fern Wagner - Treasurer
bio: Fern joined the Queen's Park Public Speaking Club in 1986. She has found it easy to socialize in this club so decided to stay. From being extremely introverted, she feels she is now better able to assert herself. Fern says, 'It's been a long time since I used to sit in a corner. If people did not come and talk to me then they did not get to know me at all. Now I approach other people members and new comers alike.'
Adam Beiko - Past President
bio: Adam Beiko was born in Tirana, Albania. He is an IT Analyst at Rogers Centre & Blue Jays Baseball Club. Adam joined the Queen’s Park Toastmasters Club in October 2009. Adam previously served as V.P.Education prior to become Club President. His goal is to become DTM Certified. |
