History

The Queen's Park Public Speaking Club has a history which spans over 30 years. During the three decades the club has existed, members have helped each other to develop communication, public speaking, and leadership skills during club meetings.

The club started in 1972 as a public speaking self-training group for employees of the Ontario government. That club become incorporated as a Toastmasters Club in April of 1973 and has flourished since that time.

Today our club's membership has over 30 people who represent a wide variety of occupations, ages, and cultural backgrounds. While many of our members work for the Ontario government and crown organizations; our membership has expanded to include members from the private and academic sectors.
