The meeting time is from 6:15 p.m. -7:50 p.m. Members and guests are asked to meet at the front of the Toronto Hydro building at 6:00 p.m., to sign in with the security guard before entering the meeting room. How much does a membership cost? Annual dues are $108.00 for a year long membership from October to September. After October, dues are prorated at $9.00 per month. Your membership dues are used to support the activities of the club. Can guests attend meetings? Guests are always welcome to attend our meetings and our club members fully support guests attending. To help facilitate your visit as a guest, please contact either the VP of Membership or the President of the club ahead of time. If you're unable to plan ahead for your visit, you can still attend the meeting at the regular location. There is no cost to attend as a guest and you will receive a Toastmasters information package at the meeting. As a tradition at Toastmasters meetings, guests are formally introduced to club members and can participate in the meeting if they choose. What are the educational opportunities available at Toastmasters? The Toastmasters International program allows you to develop communication, public speaking, and leadership skills in a formalized yet individualized program. These skills are developed through a variety of ways including: giving formal speeches, receiving feedback, evaluating speeches, participating in various roles at meetings, and possibly becoming a member of the club's executive. There are many opportunities to participate in Toastmasters for educational purposes and personal growth. See the educational section for more in depth information. What is the membership of Queen's Park Toastmasters like? One of our club's strengths is the diversity of its members, especially in terms of age, cultural background, and occupations.
