April 23, 2008 Meeting Overview

Thanks to everyone who made this week’s meeting a success even with the sound of the fire alarm testing!

Our meeting theme was "Great Bosses" and we heard many different ideas on this theme from everyone, through the lively Table Topics session.

Deborah Austin gave an excellent presentation as the wrap-up to her year of work on her High Performance Leadership Project, an advanced Toastmasters project. Deborah spoke about her experience with the startup of a new Toastmasters club in the area, Brainwave Toastmasters.

It was great to hear about how her Toastmasters leadership skills were put into action!

The theme for our April 30th meeting is: "Getting One's Way", and we are looking forward to Richard's second speech from the Competent Communicator manual! See you there!
